4:53 pm	I jumped Eli today for the first time in probably six months or more. and he did very well. We trailered down to toni's and worked in an actual arena with footing and everything...it was great. I also ordered most of a new computer last night, and some of the parts are already here....I can't wait to get it put together. Duke got me new tires today...I'm waiting for him to get home so I can see what they're like. He got my brakes and my inspection done today too. And yesterday I think I found my engagement ring (and wedding band too...it was a set). The center stone was a little high, so we're gonna go back and see if the jeweler can lower it, if he can, then I'll take it. Current Mood: accomplished Current Music: brad paisley (Comment on this)

1:05 pm	Happy Halloween! well, I'm about to head off to get Eli ready for our big night. After I eat. I forgot that...I have a sub in the microwave...hold on a minute. hmm...not warm yet... Anyway, I went and got E's new blankie today, and it's green, so I know it'll look great on him, not to mention it will fit him like a glove. I rode him this morning and we took a walk through the woods, all the way around for the first time, and he was great...he didn't look at anything. And then I gave him a bath, a medieval lady can't have a dusty mount. Mike's closing by himself tonight. And he hasn't really been paying attention to what I've been trying to teach him. Or when I told him (twice) to go find the manager and get a telxon sign-on and he never did (he's not going to be able to price anything)....oh well. But I'll probbly go in after I'm done and see if he needs help closing. That is, if they even opened this morning...more paper problems. And Duke is working until 5 tonight, so he won't be down here until at least 6. blah. A little later than I really wanted to start, I asked Roger if he'd go, but if E gets nervous, he won't know what to do with him. Anyway, I'm gonna go now....wish me luck! 9:22 pm	Hi-lo! It's Friday, it's Friday....well, okay, not Friday really, but it's my Friday. No work tomorrow. And only morning work Thursday. Yay! So I put in my application for the manager trining program....haven't heard back on it yet, bu tmy district is in Arkansas for another week or two. Yesterday I went to Old Bridge to help another manager out in the lab...I wanted to turn to him and say 'how can you be a manager and not know these machines?' but I held my tongue. Really though, when I was done I asked myself why the hell I'd driven up an hour to do all of ten minutes worth of work. It literally took longer for the machine to do my test order than it did for me to put in the upgrade and fix it. Sad. Not to mention that they're still running the old system...in their little tiny lab. anyway, I'm gonna go get food and drink...these cheetos are good, but probably not what you would consider a balanced meal. 9:50 pm	la and hello *sigh*...I should be in bed. I really should...but I was working on my room all day and then I fell asleep for a few minutes when I finally got my bed cleared off, and then I had to wait for dork to get out of the bathroom and I hopped on here. Duke's in Pennsylvania for leadership training, he'll be back tomorrow night, and I'm trying to surprise him when he gets home. so far I've moved mess from one area to another, and haven't really eliminated much of it at all. Getting closer and closer to halloween...once again I'm taking my horse out trick-or-treating, which for a while was a really scary idea. Since he got hurt this summer I haven't gotten to ride him as much as I wanted to, and he was plain roudy when I finally got back on. He's been really good the last few times I've ridden...of course, it's been pouring all week, especially today (my only day off) so I couldn't ride today...and the photographer I had asked to shoot me before E got hurt hasn't been around for a while...I would really like to get some good pictures of us this year...I guess since I have a digital camera now Duke should be able to shoot something good without being quite so overwhelmed as he was with my SLR last year. 1:36 am	I feel like I'm still living in the fucking dorms my god. it is friggin 130 in the friggin morning and I'm up. being that tomorrow (I guess now it's today, huh?) is Wednesday, my day off, this is not usually that much of a problem. But I've got a farrier's appointment at 7 am...yes, in the morning, thank you very much. And I woke up to my boyfriend's sister getting yelled at by her now ex-boyfriend. 10:02 am	Eli and I actually made it around the track today...yay! past the murderous ducks coming towards us in attack formation, past the ugly standardbreds getting whipped, all the way around past the wind in the trees and the other horses in their fields...we even passed within ten feet of the guinea hens. thank god the deer were already gone for the day...I don't think we would have survived them coming out of the woods and running past us. 2:12 pm	the truth is that I got kicked out becuase I stole Alecia's piece of ass that she couldn't even admit to liking after over two years, and he was fucking tired of it...and I did less than her (hence hypocrite)...but I went to her and admitted it and apologized...and nothing more was happening bewtween me and duke and she treated me like one of the kids so she could treat him like a child predator until she got rid of him, and then she treated me like a staff member to get rid of me. The olny reason I got back with Duke is because she got back with kevin and Duke saw them and fliped the fuck out. And the only reason I ended up with Eli is because one of the trustees got put in charge of it and could see that Alecia was freaking bullshitting me. 3:14 pm	alrighty.... whelps, it's been a while...a long whiile. Life is good, rough sometimes, and I'm so broke, but it's good anyway. So my parents are moving to California, and so I've got a house in Howell now. I know three-year olds more mature than my landlord. E's in my backyard, which is cool in a lot of ways and a pain in others (mostly finding water when everything is frozen). Work is good too. I'm down to two jobs again, still working at the barn I started at when alecia kicked me out of hp. And the photo lab is good, even though it's slow right now. My boss wants me to become a manager, so she's working on teaching me how to do the maintenance on the machines and stuff like that. The dogs are good....Mis got snipped a few weeks ago, and Cody's gonna go in at the end of this month to get his extra parts taken care of....they are such trash pickers....yesterday when I was cooking they tried to eat everything from eggshells to paper towels....*shakes head* Duke's good too. He's working now on talking to the district manager to see if he can get into the assistant manager program even though he's not at his six month point yet...hey, they made him a department head after two weeks, why not an assistant manager after...hmm....four months?.... his assistant manager went back to the neptune store and back down to a dept. head for health reasons, and is trying to get all the good workers from our store to go over there...she even posted a list of the open positions. she's cool to work with too. After she found out Duke was wanting to become an ass.man. for TLE, she was like, 'we need one of those in neptue!'....but he really wants to work the new store when it opens up in freehold (I think it's in freehold anyway). We went to look at a technical school last week that he was interested in, but between working and driving, there wouldn't be any time for him to sleep, let alone for us to spend time together. And somehow, I managed to get scheduled with Sunday off....YAY! So we're having our Valentine's Day on Sunday instead of Monday. *smiles*....V. day will be the one year aniversary of the first time he said 'I love you' to me.....I've never actually had a man of Valentine's Day before.... Hmmm....other than that, I don't think there's a lot going on. I rode Eli last wednesday (I actually had the whole day off for once) an actual working ride for the first time since almost halloween (I mentioned that I took him trick-or-treating, right?).....At first I was like, I am so not using the right muscles...and then I got the worst pain in my abs....so maybe I was using some of the right muscles.... alright, I have to finish up laundry and get back home in time to feed E, so later! 3:46 am	well, a lot has happened in the past 24 hours. I got home after work and a ride and got ready for an afternoon of doing nothing. I crawled into the tub, bubbled up, and set to soak....of course, what happens? The woman calls me up for an interview....goodbye sweet, calm, quiet soak, hello nasty uncomfortable interview clothes. But I got a new job...full time...more money...benefits....got begged by my current manager, you know the drill. Good thing too. Cause I got home, and my dad's like, 'talked to (whoever the guy is that is the president of whatever that company is), and we're meeting up in tulsa next week (or sometime like that), he told me to write my job description and write up a compensation package that would make it worth my while.' take this as a bad thing as far as I'm concerned. So, I'll be working my full time job, plus part time at the barn still, and probably at least one day a week at rag shop still....trying to keep my horse and myself fed and under a roof. Not to mention my dog. I went to bed a little before 9:00....woke up at 2. Crunched numbers....they're ugly....gave up on trying to get back to sleep. came downstairs....checked my email....and guess what....I won an autographed copy of a book from one of the authors I used to read before she ever got published.... anyway, I'm going now...there's something I want to check before I try to crawl into bed for a couple more hours. 10:31 pm	I don't know if anyone reads this anymore or not.... okay, so I've been out of things for a while. Been working with E a little less, got a puppy...a little beagle female I named Aramis. She's my baby girl, even if she did end up with pneumonia the first week and cost me $775 at the vet. Such is life. Things are going alright...was working at E's barn for a few weeks, manager left me a snotty note and I left one back, so I won't be working there anymore....I'm kinda hoping to move E to work...I went riding with one of the girls there the other day and we went across to the resevoir. It looks like that would be a lot of fun to ride E at....not to mention that I would be at a riding facility, and would have people around. Yesterday I free jumped Eli. Nothing very high or anything, since I could only use the round pen for it. The other week when Aramis went into the hospital I went out and jumped him for the first time in I don't know how long. 5:17 pm	pony pony pony pony, PONY! I moved Eli today!...YAY!!!!!...he was an angel getting on the trailer....he walked onto it like he was going into his stall. and then we didn't hear a sound from him the whole ride. And then he was a little stressy about wanting to get off the trailer, but by the time I went to back him off he went nice and slow without a problem. And then he went out into the field like he'd been there forever. Later on, when I was lounging around waiting for dinner time so I could make sure he continued to be an angel, he came up to the gate and whinnied at me, and then stared at me.... I got up, and (all the while telling myself that I was a moron) grabbed my helmet from my truck, grabbed E, took him in the arena, and hopped on him in just a halter and a lead shank. I wasn't on for long, just enough to sit on his back and be all happy and stuff. I know I should have left him alone, but I just couldn't resist. Then I got off, and as I led him into the barn, Linda pulled up to feed.... after he ate I put him back out and came home....now it's time to find myself something to eat... later all!
